Directions and accessibility
While we aim to cater for all visitors, the property is not wheelchair accessible. Although pets are not accepted, guide dogs are welcome, and feeding/water bowls provided.
Local transport is limited but there is a bus stop in the High Street about 5 minutes’ walk away providing a service to and from Moreton-in-Marsh (7 miles) and Stratford upon Avon (10 miles). There are no buses on Sundays. The mainline train station at Moreton-in-Marsh (direct line from London Paddington to Hereford) is 15 minutes away by car. By special arrangement I can meet guests in Moreton or provide the local taxi numbers.
On foot : From the Noel Arms hotel/pub in the middle of the High Street, go through the archway immediately opposite the Town Hall. Continue through the hotel car park to reach George Lane, go up the hill and bear right into Pear Tree Close. Follow Pear Tree Close as it bends first left then, after you have passed St James School on the left, to the right. Gainsborough Cottage is on the left just beyond the school.
By car : From the High Street, turn left into Sheep Street (between Robert Welch’s shop and the Red Lion Hotel). After about 400 yards where the road takes a sharp right turn, turn left (signed to Broad Campden) and then take the first left into Cherry Orchard Close. Follow the road round to the right at the top and Gainsborough Cottage is on the right, just before the road curves downhill to the left.
